Which is of more importance on a website, the graphics or the copy?
Without appearing to be biased, the simple answer is copy because it’s what tells visitors what they want to know. Having said that, both copy and graphics should be of a very high standard and should really complement each other.

Will it matter too much if there are a couple of spelling or grammatical errors on my website?
Probably not; most visitors will generally forgive a mistake or two but it is a fact that poor spelling, bad grammar, little or no punctuation on a website will convey a lack of care and professionalism which may result in driving visitors away.

Can I write my own copy using a spell checker?
Certainly, but the vagaries of the English language are such that using a spelling and even a grammar checker will not be enough to ensure that what you write will be error-free, so it is advisable to have the copy proofread before your site goes live.

Are copywriters expensive to use?
Quite simply some are and some are not. Fees will vary according to your requirements but many are happy to quote a fixed project price.

What if I don’t like what a copywriter has written for me?
A copywriter will usually provide a draft for you to look at and will make any amendments to it as per your instructions. Generally, a first draft and sometimes a second are included in the price.
